Account Deletion
& Erasure Procedures
Detailed information on how your data is handled during account termination, and step-by-step instructions on requesting complete data deletion from our systems.
Data Erasure Policy
Excerpt from YourBillBox Privacy Policy Section 06
In accordance with global privacy standards, including the Right to Erasure, we provide a secure, user-initiated account deletion process. Your data is kept only as long as necessary to provide our Services, and we employ a strict data minimization protocol upon account termination.
Deletion Timeline
- // INITIATION: Upon requesting account deletion, your profile is immediately suspended. A strict 7-day grace period begins, during which your data remains frozen but intact.
- // IRREVERSIBLE EXECUTION: After exactly 7 days, the recovery window permanently closes. Following a 24-hour system buffer, the hard-deletion execution occurs on the 8th day.
Erasure Inventory
When the hard-deletion execution occurs, our cascading deletion protocol irreversibly purges:
- // Core Account Profile: All root profile info, credentials, and usage history.
- // Financial & Bill Records: All uploaded document scans, receipts, invoices, metadata, and extracted data.
- // Extracted Items & Reminders: Individual line items parsed, push notifications, and system alerts.
- // Relational & Analytical Data: Synced transaction histories, search embeddings, and vector data.
- // File Storage Objects: All physical files, images, PDFs, and profile pictures.
- // Communications Data: Incoming email archives, raw message logs, and the de-provisioning of your custom email CDN alias.
Shared & Collaborative Data
Folders and storage buckets where you are the sole owner are permanently deleted. If you are a member of a shared folder, the folder remains active to prevent disruption to surviving members, but your membership rights are terminated and your identity is completely unlinked.
Audit Logs & Data Minimization
We retain a static, permanent record of the deletion request strictly for security tracking and compliance. This log is completely anonymized and stripped of all personal identification information.
